In this introductory embroidery workshop, each student will have the chance to stitch their own canvas tote bag with a stitch sampler mandala on it. An introduction to 8 basic embroidery stitches will be covered with the majority of the class time spent working on your piece.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Stacey Sproule is an artist and musician based in Toronto, Ontario. Her work revolves around ideas of self-healing and often involves the use of knitting, embroidery, and other tactile techniques. She is strongly influenced by collaborative and performative processes. She holds a BFA in drawing and painting from OCAD.
