KNITTING 101

Learn the very basics and knit a chic headband perfect for our Toronto winters. We'll be working with big needles and a super chunky Merino wool, so you'll see your progress quickly in large, satisfying stitches. This course would be great for someone who's never held a set of needles, a beginner, or someone who is looking to refresh what they learned back in Home Ec.  We'll go over Englishstyle casting on, binding off, and the knit stitch, and you'll get a hand-illustrated Knitting 101 guide to take home to help you practice your new skills. The course also includes a pair of bamboo knitting needles, an original headband pattern, and a ball of Merino wool large enough to complete your headband.

All materials included.

$65

Class size limited to 9 students.

ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Kerri Westlake is the knitter and designer behind Westlake, a line of minimalist knits made from natural fibres.  She has been knitting for over 20 years, and during her busiest time of the year, she knits over 10,000 stitches a day! When she's not crafting, she can be found experimenting with natural dyes, tending to her veggie garden, or singing karaoke.
